At Kanarek Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, we believe in exploring modern treatment for the specialties we help treat. As such, we are dedicated to research excellence. Over the years our office has participated in many clinical trials involving allergies, asthma, immunology, eczema, and food allergies.

The following is a list of ongoing clinical trials where we are recruiting individuals:

  1. Moderate to Severe Asthma
    1. This observational study looks at FDA approved Dupixent effects on managing patients with chronic asthma.
    2. You may qualify if you:
      1. Have been diagnosed with Asthma
      2. Have severe asthma attacks
      3. Failing on a daily inhaler
  2. Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria
    1. This phase I/II clinical trial looks at patients with severe hives being treated with an investigation product via an infusion.
    2. You may qualify if you:
      1. Have severe hives
      2. Have not had a biologic treatment within 3 months of screening
      3. Failing on high dose antihistamines 
  3. Hereditary Angioedema Type I/II
    1. This phase I/II clinical trial looks at gene therapy to treat patients with Hereditary Angioedema with the SERPING1 gene.
    2. You may qualify if you:
      1. Diagnosed with HAE Type I/II
      2. Have been on a stable HAE regimen for 6 months

 

Studies that are currently going on:

  1. Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria
    1. This clinical trial looks at a new therapy to help those suffering from chronic hives and itching. 
  2. Hereditary Angioedema with C1-INH normal
    1. This study looks at FDA approved abortive Firazyr and the preventive Takhzyro use together to prevent HAE attacks.
